Renewing your subscription

Renew your software subscription as early as possible to keep your PC fully protected.

You need an active subscription to receive the necessary updates that keep your PC safe from viruses, spyware, and other online threats while you use the web. It's a good idea to check that your subscription is up to date by reviewing your McAfee account regularly.

When your McAfee subscription expires, the protection status area on the Home Page displays a notice, asking you to renew. You also receive periodic alerts to tell you that your subscription will expire soon or has expired.

For Windows 8 users, the McAfee Security Advisor tile on your Start screen also alerts you before and after your subscription expires.

If your subscription expires, you can renew it at any time. However, to keep your PC fully protected, it's important that you renew your subscription early, or set up automatic renewal on the McAfee website.
