Most intrusions are targeted at weaknesses in your PC's operating system or programs, which might develop if your operating system or your programs are not getting regular updates. The default setting for Personal Firewall automatically detects the most common intrusion attempts.

1	Open the Firewall settings page. How? 1 On the Home Page, click Firewall. 2 Click Settings.
2	Open the Intrusion Protection drawer.
3	Select Use Intrusion Protection.
4	Select one of these options: To... Do this... Detect activities that are very likely to be attacks Select Basic. Detect suspicious activities, even though some might not be attacks Select High.
5	Click Apply.
