Block a program from connecting to risky sites

You can block a program from connecting to risky sites, which can leave you vulnerable to attacks from hackers and spammers.

1 On the Home Page, open the Web and Email Protection drawer.
2 Click Firewall.
3 Open the Internet Connections for Programs drawer.
4 Select a program with Outgoing or Full access, and then click Edit.
5 Under Net Guard, click On.
If Net Guard is turned off globally for all programs, then you cannot turn it on for an individual program. You must first turn on the feature globally in the Net Guard drawer of Firewall. For more information, please read Block risky connections.
6 Click Save.
If a program on your PC tries to connect to a risky site, an alert displays information about the program and the IP addres that it tried to access.
