Your PC can be in one of these states:
• | Normal mode – Your PC must be in this mode before you make any changes to the settings. |
• | Stealth mode – You have marked your PC as lost or stolen. In stealth mode, your PC stays on, its files are locked, and its location is tracked. |
• | Lockdown mode – You have marked your PC as lost or stolen. Your PC is shut down and locked, and your location is no longer tracked. |
• | Vacation mode – Your PC's locking functions, including auto-lock, are turned off. |
• | Repair shop mode – Your PC is unlocked and your files are secure – so that only you can open them. |
• | Expired – Your PC's subscription is currently expired. You need to renew your subscription by clicking Renew now. If your PC was in stealth mode or lockdown mode when your subscription expired, your PC continues in these modes until you return it to normal mode, or unlock the PC. You then need to renew your subscription to make sure McAfeeAnti-Theft continues to protect your PC and your personal files. |
