You can determine if your device is protected and your software is working properly by checking the protection status in the top half of the Home Page. For example, when your subscription expires, the protection status bar changes to red and displays a message that McAfee Anti-Theft is no longer protecting your device.
View the Home Page from your device by double-clicking the McAfee Anti-Theft icon in your taskbar.
The types of protection status are:
| • | Secure (green)—McAfee Anti-Theft protection features are working and there are no issues. |
| • | Not set up (black)—You need to set up McAfee Anti-Theft to protect your device and its sensitive files. |
| • | At risk (red)—McAfee Anti-Theft is no longer protecting your device and there is an issue that needs your attention, like an expired subscription. |
 | Make sure your device is connected to the Internet at all times. If you don't connect your device to the Internet for a number of days, the auto-lock timer will trigger and McAfee Anti-Theft will automatically lock down your device. |
