Turn off scheduled scanning

Occasionally you might want to turn off scheduled scanning, perhaps to free up your PC's system resources. However, turning off scheduled scanning can leave your PC exposed to threats. If you turn off scheduled scanning, we recommend that you turn it back on as soon as possible.

If you turn off scheduled scans, you must perform regular scans manually from the Home Page to keep your PC secure. Turn scheduled scanning back on to keep your PC safe and to reduce the need for administration on your part.

Task

Open the Schedule Scan Settings page.

Under Scheduled Scans, click Turn off.
