Specify custom filtering rules

When you add or edit a custom filter, you can specify the rules that Anti-Spam uses to filter spam.

Task
1 On the Custom Filtering Rules page, specify the rules that you want a custom filter to use.
To... Do this...
Control email that contains the words or phrases in your filter From the Action drop-down list, select Block or Allow.
Specify which part of the email to filter From the Field drop-down list, select Recipient, Sender, Subject, Header, or Body.
Specify whether the email includes specific words or phrases From the Condition drop-down list, select contains or doesn't contain.
Specify the words or phrases in your filter In Word or Phrase, type the words to look for in an email. For example, if you specify "mortgage," all email messages that contain this word are filtered.
Use an advanced algorithm for filtering (Advanced users only)
1In Word or Phrase, type a regular expression to look for specific characters and sequences in an email.
2Select Use regular expressions to find particular words and characters in your custom filtering rule.
3Test your regular expression: type a phrase in the text field, then click Test to see if it is filtered using your regular expression.

If the word or phrase you entered matches the pattern in your regular expression, the word or phrase that Anti-Spam will filter appears under Results.
