Set automatic locking for your vaults

You can set McAfee to lock your vaults automatically when you aren't using your PC, or when your screen saver is activated. This makes sure your files are always secure, even if you forget to lock your vault.

You vaults also lock automatically when you shut down or restart your PC.

1 Open File Lock.
2 From the toolbar in the right pane, click Options.
3 Select the automatic locking options for your vaults.
To... Do this...
Let McAfee lock your vaults automatically after you stop using your PC for a specific period of time. Select the checkbox next to If I haven't used my computer for, then select the minutes.
Let McAfee lock your vaults as soon as your screen saver is activated. Select the checkbox next to When my screensaver is active.
4 Click Save.
