McAfee® Online Backup

McAfee has discontinued local Backup and Restore, but you can still back up your important data with McAfee Online Backup. With Online Backup , you can copy and restore your files using a secure online location, rather than having to use a CD, DVD, USB drive, external hard drive, or network drive.

If you have used local Backup and Restore, McAfee automatically uninstalls it when you upgrade to a current version of McAfee protection. You can access all of the files that you backed up previously using our standalone version of Backup and Restore. Online Backup is available for installation from your Add Features page.
This protection feature might not be turned on, installed, or included in your McAfee software. To learn about the protection features included in your McAfee suite, read Understanding your protection features.
If you have McAfee Total Protection software or McAfee Internet Security installed, you can install Online Backup on each licensed PC in your subscription. If you have Internet Security, you receive 1 GB of online storage with each license you purchase. If you have Total Protection software, you receive 2 GB of online storage with each license. With either Total Protection software or Internet Security, you can upgrade to unlimited storage at any time.
Some versions of Internet Security and Total Protection software do not include Online Backup.
