Limiting time spent online

By default, all users can go online whenever they want. If you're worried that your child is spending too much time online, you can control access and set time limits.

Use the online schedule to:
Limit your child's access to specific days.
Control how much time your child spends online each day.
Block your child's access entirely.
Before your child is blocked from going online, an alert appears indicating that access will soon be blocked. The alert appears fifteen minutes and five minutes before your child's access is blocked. If your child tries to go online during a restricted time, an alert indicates that access is not allowed. If you restrict online access entirely, the child cannot browse the web, use instant messaging programs, or participate in online games.
Before you can create an online schedule, you must assign your child to an age group.

When you create an online schedule, McAfee logs and uses your PC's time zone to restrict your child's online access. It is important to make sure the time zone on your PC is always correct; otherwise, your child might be able to go online during restricted times. When anyone changes the time zone on your PC, an alert from McAfee appears the next time you log in to Windows. You can always check your PC's time zone from the Windows Date and Time dialog box.
