McAfee Anti-Theft Help

McAfee® Anti-Theft Help

McAfee Anti-Theft protects your PC if it's lost or stolen and prevents your important information from falling into the wrong hands.

Every day PCs are lost or stolen, accessed by hackers, or used by people other than their owners. When this occurs, your confidential and personal information is exposed – leaving you vulnerable to identity theft, privacy invasion, and more. With McAfee Anti-Theft you can monitor your PC in two ways:

From your PC using the Home Page.

The Home Page is the place where you can check if your McAfee Anti-Theft subscription, software, and features are up to date and working properly.

From a web browser using the Anti-Theft Web Console.

The web console is the place where you can remotely:

Lock your PC if it's lost or stolen.
Track your PC's location.
Disable the auto-lock while you're on vacation.
Secure all files in your My Documents folder, all Microsoft Office files, Microsoft Money files, and Intuit Quicken files – so that only you can open them.
