When you restart your device after it's locked down, it shows a single screen that contains steps to unlock your device, and a customized message. To unlock your device and return it to normal mode, you'll need to provide your Intel® AT Service password.
Remember your Intel® AT Service password
If you know your Intel® AT Service password:
| 1 | From your device's startup screen, type the number 1. |
| 2 | When asked for your system recovery password, type your Intel® AT Service password, and click Enter. Your device unlocks and restarts. |
| 3 | Log in to the Intel® AT Service Web Management Console. |
| 4 | Return your device to normal mode. |
Forgot your Intel® AT Service password?
If you forgot your Intel® AT Service password, you can use a temporary recovery (or unlock) code to unlock your device:
| 1 | From your device's startup screen, type the number 2, and record the 26-character ID provided on the screen. | ||
| 2 | Log in to the Intel® AT Service Web Management Console. | ||
| 3 | Click Help. | ||
| 4 | Under Forgot your Intel® AT Service password?, type the 26-character ID, and click Get recovery code. | ||
| 5 | Write down the temporary recovery code provided. | ||

From your device's startup screen, enter the temporary recovery code and click Enter. Your device unlocks and restarts.

| 7 | From the web console, return your device to normal mode and change your Intel® AT Service password. |
