File protection automatically encrypts the files in your My Documents folder, and all your Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Money files, and Intuit Quicken files – so that only you can open them. We recommend that you keep file protection on. If you turn it off, your important files are vulnerable in the event of loss or theft.
| Certain file types in My Documents can't be encrypted, including .amv, .mgv, .jnt, .jtp, .mov, .mpeg, .mpeg4, .exe, and .tmp. Not all subscriptions include file protection.
